Much can be said about the Kinks, especially with the two Davies brothers. For decades, The Kinks helped to define Rock and Roll, and still do. One of the Davies brothers, Dave Davies, actually was the original member of the band, while Ray Davies followed into the fold soon after. Dave Davies has made more than a few solo albums. He has a son by the name of Daniel Davies, who has been active musically since 2003. He is responsible for soundtracks that include work for John Carpenter (who is his godfather). To date, Daniel Davies has three solo albums out that include a self-released 2011 EP – Hidden Faces, Events Score – 2018, and Signals – 2020, released on Sacred Bones. Time for his next.
On June 21, Daniel Davies will release his fourth solo effort in Ghost Of The Heart. The new album will feature 9 songs including the released single, “I Know Why” (listen below). If you’re a fan of Daniel Davies, this is likely a fun release for you.
Ghost Of The Heart will be issued via Sacred Bones on CD, DD, and four different colored vinyl packages that will include black vinyl, a Limited Edition Sacred Bones exclusive in Blue Wave (250 copies), a Limited Edition Clear vinyl, a club-exclusive Coke Bottle and Black Marble press, and a Limited Edition Clear vinyl set.
