Lawrence Rothman released his debut album – The Book Of Law – in 2017. That album delivered the ’80s-flavored single, “Wolves Still Cry”. He has since collaborated with many artists including Marissa Nadler, Courtney Love, Amanda Shires, and more. He is married to world-famous director, Floria Sigismondi. Her works include popular artists videos (David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, Dua Lipa, Leonard Cohen, Justin Timberlake, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and many more), The Runaways movie, and episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale, and American Gods. Lawrence Rothman has released three well-received albums and has released a large stream of singles. His last album was in 2021 with Not A Son. He recently started his own label with KRO Records. He has done production work with other artists.
On April 26, Lawrence Rothman will release his next album – The Plow That Broke The Plains. The new album contains 13 highly personal songs – as does all of his previous music. There are three singles in release since the beginning of 2024. The latest is “LAX”, which features a collaboration with Amanda Shires. You can hear that below. The title is borrowed from a 1936 US documentary on the Dust Bowl of the ’30s.
The Plow That Broke The Plains will be released on CD, DD, and standard black vinyl LP via KRO Records. The music is Americana.
