The Jesus and Mary Chain band released their first album, Psychocandy, to immediate fame in the UK markets. Even the US got in on the band although at a distance on the charts. But it wouldn’t be long before all the world recognized the songcraft of the band giving them ten Top40 singles in the UK, and a bunch more that came in just over the Top40 class. In 1998, they released their last album before going dormant by disbandment for a number of years. They reformed in 2007 but didn’t release a new album for a full decade had passed. Damage And Joy was met with appreciation by many fans.
On March 8, The Jesus and Mary Chain will release their newest album – Glasgow Eyes. The new set will feature 12 new songs, one of them already in release as the lead single from the new album. You can listen to “Jamcod” below.
