MGMT formed back in the early ’00s and left a string of popular neo-psych albums before taking a break and going dark for a few years. Their catalogue consists of 4 studio sets that includes the high-charting and high-selling Columbia Records debut, Oracular Spectacular in 2007. they also have one comp album and one live set in their catalogue.
On February 23, MGMT resumes livelihood with the release of their newest album, Loss Of Life. Expected to contain 10 new tracks, Loss Of Life resumes the extraordinary classic sound of the band and it’s one I’m heartily excited for. The releasing label is Mom+Pop Records. “Mother Nature” is already available as a single forerunner. You can hear the latest single, “Bubblegum Dog” below.
Loss Of Life will release on CD, DD, and on two variations of color vinyl that include industry standard 140g-weight Black vinyl LP, and a Limited Edition Prismatic Splatter 140g-weight LP edition. The CD will add in a 14″x14″ fold out lyric poster.
