Graham Parker began releasing music professionally in the latter half of the ’70s with Howlin’ Wind (1976), and Heat Treatment (1976). His 1977 Stick To Me Album was joined by The Rumour. And by 1979, Graham Parker & The Rumour were the toast of the town with their New Wave entry, Squeezing Out Sparks. For over 45 years, Graham Parker has provided fans with a steady dose of music that includes The Up Escalator (1980), Another Grey Area (1982), and more than 15 follow-up albums after that.
On September 8, Big Stir Records will release the next new Graham Parker album, this with The Goldtops. The new album will feature 13 songs from the master with two of them in current release states. (You can listen to “Them Bugs” and a non-album track with “The Ologist Song” below.) “Them Bugs begins with a familiar ska sound and immediately captures your attention in the old Graham Parker method. “The Ologist Song” reminds heavily of early Graham Parker! The new album is being called Last Chance To Learn The Twist.
Last Chance To Learn The Twist will be made available on CD, DD, and a limited edition Clear Green vinyl press, which is scheduled for sometime in October.
