Sigur Rós has been with us since the early ’90s. With atmospheric music, and interesting falsetto vocals, this Icelandic band has gained a strong following over the decades. Together, they have 8 albums, their latest being Átta (meaning eight). It was released to fans digitally in June of this year. Now it’s time for the world to get a share of the physical release.
On September 1, Sigur Rós presents Átta on CD and vinyl LP. Filled with 10tta new compositions, the new album – their first in ten years – will give fans the dream sound that they’ve loved forever on physical product. The recordings also feature The London Contemporary Orchestra to more fully realize the beauty of these tracks. The album’s recording took place over several locations including the US, the UK, and their native Iceland.
Átta will be issued on CD and 2LP sets that will feature 2LP Clear, and 2LP Black vinyl.
