The Damned did knock out business in 1977 when Stiff Records released their Damned Damned Damned debut. For UK Punk, The Damned was a viable unit that eventually changed the flavoring of their music to glide more easily into the ’80s. Their first single, “Neat Neat Neat”, rose on the charts establishing them as a premier punk band. To date, they have released eleven studio sets, their last being Evil Spirits on 2018.
On April 28, EARMusic will release the next album by The Damned with Darkadelic. It will feature new songs from the band that still has Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, and Paul Gray. (In 2022, the entire original line-up reformed for a tour.) New music from The Damned is exciting news. The first single from Darkadelic is “The Invisible Man” (hear below).
Darkadelic will be made available on CD, DD, and several LP forms (standard black, Limited Edition Clear Vinyl [Limited Edition Clear comes with a slip mat]).
