Slade has enjoyed a recent resurgence of interest with the new reissues of their classic ’70s works. And we’re pleased to have them available to us. Slade was quite the UK phenomenon with some bleedover to the US markets. One of their most amazing elements was their stage show. The classic Slade have six high-charting, very visible albums (as well as a handful of other albums). One of them is the live set called Slade Alive!. It charted well for the band worldwide.
On September 9, BMG will continue the Slade output with a 5-album 5CD box that will include a remastered version of the previously mentioned 1972 classic Slade Alive! as well as Slade On Stage (released in 1982). In addition to those two, there are going to be three other live performance sets that have been previously unreleased. Those include Alive! At Reading, Live At The New Victoria, and Live At The Hucknall Miner’s Welfare Club. The box will be packed with a 8-page booklet that looks back on those five performances. The Box set will be called All The World Is A Stage.
