For the growing ’60s, the music of Renaissance helped to entrench the mixed styles of Progressive Folk and Rock. And for this, the band is well-known by fans. Annie Haslam provided an unmistakable voice to complement the excellent musicianship of the band that included Yardbirds alumni, Keith Relf and Jim McCarty. Even John Wetton spent a bit of time in the classics-influenced band. On November 26, Esoteric Recordings (Cherry Red UK) will revisit the 1975 classic album Scheherazade and Other Stories by Renaissance with a newly remastered reissue in a 2CD/DVD Box. The DVD will include bonus tracks, as well as a new 5.1 Surround up-mixed version. A 1976 live concert will be included on the second CD. An included DVD will feature a previously unreleased promotional live performance film from 1976.
