The Doors are one of America’s great early Rock bands. Formed in 1965, The Doors had a short life span with only 6 studio albums recorded while Jim Morrison was still alive and an active member of the band during a brief but tumultuous four years, overall six years. (The Doors have nine studio sets, three that were released after Jim Morrison’s death.)
On December 3, Rhino will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of L.A. Woman, The Doors‘ final album with Jim Morrison as an active band. This new edition will contain two hours of studio outtakes and demos over a 3CD/LP Box. It will feature a new remaster of the original 1971 classic that gave us “Love Her Madly”, and the atmospheric “Riders On The Storm”. CD1 and the vinyl LP will present the original album remastered. CDs 2/3 will contain L.A. Woman sessions. tracks. A collectible book is included. The session demo track of “Riders On The Storm” can be enjoyed below.
The 50th Anniversary Box – thus far – will only be available as the 3CD/LP box. The breakout should occur later.
