It’s coming up on 8 years since Lou Reed has died. With that, it reminds fans of his music, lyrics, and songs, and what might we have had from him in these times with Lou holding a guitar and a pen. Over the decades of his recording years, Lou Reed has released 21 solo albums apart from his Velvet Underground years (not counting his collaboration with Metallica on Lulu). Many of them are considered classics. New York (1989) is one of them. In 2020, New York was revisited with a 3CD Deluxe Box that included new remastering, live tracks, and a collection of demos, outtakes, and alternate mixes. New York remains as one of the top classics in the important Lou Reed catalog.

On October 8, Rhino Records will release the 2020 remastered version of New York on Limited Edition clear vinyl 2LP. This is welcomed for vinyl fans who love Lou Reed and who especially love New York. If you’re one of those, don’t wait too long to order because vinyl sells through fast, often selling out before anyone has a chance to acquire. This is true for pre-orders. This is a breakout from the 3CD/2LP/DVD Box.

We miss Lou Reed!
