Classic metal lifers Iron Maiden signal a new album on the way with the release of the single “The Writing On The Wall.”
The track is the band’s first new music in six years, following up their double-album The Book of Souls. While no announcement of a new record has been made officially, the band has been rumored to have been working on new music since 2019. The delay would make sense given Maiden’s reputation as tour warriors, and 2020 having been a wash. With live music slowly returning around the world, now might be the perfect time for Maiden’s skeletal mascot Eddie to prowl once more.
