The Canadian band, Barenaked Ladies arrived in the early ’90s, and almost immediately, won the affection of Canadian fans, and eventually spreading out to a more worldwide fame. Their first album, Gordon, was released in 1992. To date, the band has released eleven studio sets. But it was their fourth major label issue, Stunt (1998) that acquired the most love.
Stunt sold in the neighborhood of over eight million copies worldwide. The album generated hits with four released singles (“One Week”, It’s All Been Done”, “Call and Answer”, “Alcohol”).
On September 28, Rhino Records will help the band celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Stunt with a 20th Anniversary Edition of the classic Barenaked Ladies album remastered. The set will be issued as a CD/DVD Deluxe Edition, DD (available much earlier on July 6), and 180g-weight vinyl 2LP (with two bonus tracks included in the press).
The CD portion will add three outtakes from the sessions. The DVD provides the 1999 Jason Priestly-directed documentary of Barenaked Ladies, Barenaked in America, with nearly 90-minutes of live footage and ‘behind the scenes’ pieces. This DVD has been previously unreleased in the US.
