In an interesting pairing, Christine McVie has joined with Lindsey Buckingham in a Buckingham/Nicks-like endeavor that should prove to be quite enjoyable. Both are incredible and UNIQUE lyricists and song-crafters, each as different as Stevie Nicks is in her own right. It was that uniqueness that made the Fleetwood/Buckingham/McVie/Nicks/McVie version of Fleetwood Mac such a strong unit. Although we all knew that these two were recording an album, it’s just as nice to know the album is soon to be available.
On June 9, Atlantic Records will release Lindsey Buckingham . Christine McVie as a ten-track set. A fore-running single from the album, “In My World” will be issued on Friday (04/14). With these two as a strong song-writing unit, it could be interesting to apply a sense of translation as it could have been Fleetwood Mac as the recipient of these tracks. Which makes me quite interested to hear this upcoming song.
It’s also nice to find that they will be touring this album giving fans a more personal experience to remember the album with. I wish more established and well-known bands that venture into this kind of territory would be as adventurous as Buckingham/McVie.
