James Taylor, a staple troubadour of the late ’60s, early ’70s has a grand collection of albums and songs, many of them big hits, in his catalog. However, it’s been many years since we have been provided a collection of original tracks from the songwriter. His last album of original music is found on October Road, released in 2002. That’s well over 13 years ago.
On June 16, Concord Records will release his new album, Before This World, will provide ten new Taylor songs. It will be issued on CD, DD, and a Deluxe CD/DVD Edition, which will provide a “Making Of” video, There We Were. There is no word of vinyl LP, although his last album successfully went Platinum in sales. That should help move an LP issue of Before This World for vinyl aficionados to fruition.
