After his time with his original band, Grin, Nils Lofgren released his self-titled debut. That album easily revealed just how good Nils Lofgren was, thus generating a great deal of interest.
On May 4, the great folks at Real Gone Music will reissue the 1975 debut in a previously remastered set (Hip-O) that will include new liner notes by Lofgren, along with added photos to the booklet. The track-list remains the same at the original twelve songs.
It’s the same Hip-O mastering and not a newly remastered edition.
There was a lovely SHM CD version in mini album format the came out last year in Japan, along with “Back It Up: An Authorised Bootleg” – both sounding totally amazing. To my ears did (and still does) has more presence than the Hip-O version. Still: it’s good to have this great album available again.
