Cleopatra Records will reissue Remember the Future, the classic 1973 Nektar release, in a collectible 3D cover, with 3 CDs of material including the original album (no word on new or previous remastering…yet). This box will add in a full CD of radio edits, while the third CD features the well-known live March 27, 1974 Chipping Norton Studio sessions. This 3D Box is planned for May 27.

Cleopatra will also re-release Death Walks Behind You, the 1970 sophomore release from Atomic Rooster, on 180g color vinyl LP with included poster. This is scheduled for May 27.

UMe have Quadrophenia – Live In London featuring The Who scheduled for BD, and DVD release videos on June 10.

If you’re into collecting new 180g LPs of familiar classic titles, then it might interest you to know that Original Recordings Group plan the LP re-release of Tapestry, the time-honored classic by Carole King. It is currently pegged for release on June 10. This multi Grammy award winning album will be remastered at 45RPM, and issued on 2LPs. Yes, it’s pricey ($49.98 SRP), but it may be the best mastering you have ever heard especially if you’re a fan of vinyl, and new vinyl at that.

Reprise Records have added a 2LP set of From the Cradle by Eric Clapton to its current scheduled LP re-releases of Riding With the King, and Me And Mr Johnson. All LPs are scheduled for June 10.

Asthmatic Kitty records will release early classic Sufjan Stevens recording, Enjoy Your Rabbit (2001) on 180g vinyl 2LP slated for June 10.

Rough Trade will release new and collected British Sea Power with the release of From the Sea To the Land Beyond.  This album will be a vinyl-only release geared toward collectors, with a limited run of only 300 copies.  The album is being pressed in sea-colored azure vinyl, and will be issued with a DVD of the film it soundtracks (of the same name). A download code will be included in each LP package. There will be 18 songs total over 2 LPs.

+180 Records will release Mutineers from David Gray on June 17.

A female singer going by the name of Roxanna , who possesses a voice that is guaranteed to win her an Oscar in a Disney production (it’s that good, yes), will release her debut album on April 29.  she released several singles, “Close Your Eyes”, and “Hello”, a cover of Lionel Ritchie’s 1984 song.  Of particular interest is a cover of The Hollies’ “The Air that I Breathe”, which will be found on the upcoming album. The album is called Exotica.

Varese Sarabande will re-release Between the Hard Place & The Ground (1979) And More by Michael Bloomfield with a scheduled date of June 3.

Columbia Records will release new the new Jack White album, Lazaretto, on June 10. there’s no hint of LP yet, but I’m sure it’s being planned. For now, CD and DD.

Real Gone Music will reissue Charity Ball, the 1971 success from the all-girl band featuring the Millington sisters named Fanny.  The album will be reissued in an Expanded Edition, and is scheduled for June 3.

  1. Apparently there will also be a 5-disc set for Quadrophenia Live, containing 2 CDs, DVD, Blu-Ray, and Blu-Ray Audio. I presume the first 4 discs all revolve around the same Quadrophenia Live concert, but what could be on the Blu-Ray Audio? Could it finally be the full Quadrophenia 5.1 mix?! Find out, Matt! :)
