If you’re into collecting new 180g LPs of familiar classic titles, then it might interest you to know that Original Recordings Group plan the LP re-release of Tapestry, the time-honored classic by Carole King. It is currently pegged for release on June 10. This multi Grammy award winning album will be remastered at 45RPM, and issued on 2LPs. Yes, it’s pricey ($49.98 SRP), but it may be the best mastering you have ever heard especially if you’re a fan of vinyl, and new vinyl at that.

  1. Apparently there will also be a 5-disc set for Quadrophenia Live, containing 2 CDs, DVD, Blu-Ray, and Blu-Ray Audio. I presume the first 4 discs all revolve around the same Quadrophenia Live concert, but what could be on the Blu-Ray Audio? Could it finally be the full Quadrophenia 5.1 mix?! Find out, Matt! :)

  2. I believe you are correct. There’s a post about this over on the Hoffman boards.
