Friday music will release The Fabulous Rock ‘N’ Roll Songbook with fifteen happily familiar tracks from Cliff Richard.  The songs are covers of some of Rock’s great tracks. There are songs like “Wake Up Little Susie” (Everly Brothers), “Johnny Be Good” (Chuck Berry), “Dream Lover” (Bobby Darin), and others.  This album will represent the 100th Cliff Richard album released by the Rock and Roll pioneer.  It’s planned for February 25.  Friday Music has plans to release more Cliff Richard in the near future so keep an eye out for those albums to come.

And if you’re a Ronnie Lane fan, and I’m sure you are, then there is the 2CD UK release of Ooh La La – An Island Harvest featuring Ronnie Lane and Slim Chance.  If you’re a Small Faces/Faces fan, then you already know that Slim Chance was the band Lane formed after the demise of Faces.  This 2CD set feature music from previous Slim Chance LPs (1974’s Ronnie Lane’s Slim Chance, 1976’s One For the Road, Note: Anymore For Anymore was not an Island issue and is likely not covered on this set) and will add in previously unreleased tracks to complete the set.  Ooh La La – An Island Harvest is slated for UK issue on February 24.  Hell yes, I’m excited!
