Rhino has slated Some Great Reward, Music For The Masses, Black Celebration, and Songs Of Faith And Devotion, both by Depeche Mode, for vinyl LP release.  These four titles can be expected on 180g-weight vinyl scheduled for February 4 (do I need to say 2014 anymore?).

On February 4th, Atlantic is preparing a 4CD set featuring Aretha Franklin.  The set is being called Queen Of Soul.  A similar 4CD set is being prepped featuring Otis Redding called King Of Soul.

Nonesuch Records have Kin forthcoming from Pat Metheny on February 4.

Domino Recording Company have a reissue of High Land, Hard Rain by Aztec Camera planned for February 4. The album will be released on 180g vinyl LP (with DD rights), and a 2CD set.  The bonuses will be remixes, live performances, and single edits, all rare stuff. This will be an exciting 30th Anniversary set to acquire for Aztec Camera fans.

And Righteous Babe Records will re-release an album from one of our favorite artists, Ani DiFranco, on January 21.  Not A Pretty Girl will release on vinyl LP.

Just for fun: Who was a fan of Crawler back in the late ’70s?  They only had two albums (after their Back Street Crawler issue), the self-titled debut with “Stone Cold Sober”, and their follow-up, Snake, Rattle & Roll. I’m curious!

  1. How many times are the Clash albums going to be reissued on cd but NOT SACD??!!! Sony should wake the ***k up and realize it’s nearly 2014 not 1984!
