I’ve been in love with Bonnie Raitt since her brilliant self-titled Warner Brothers Records 1971 set (I was only 14 years old at the time. I’m now 58.) Since, I’ve largely been a fan of her work. With the upcoming release of her 20th set, we will have yet another reason to stay in love with this queen of folk and blues/rock. Her breakout album, Nick Of Time (1989) finally brought her into the mainstream. The album even won three Grammy Awards including Album Of The Year.
On February 26, Bonnie Raitt will roll out her newest album, Dig In Deep. This collection of twelve originals will be released on her own label, Redwing Records (via Warner Bros). The new album will be enhanced by a nice 16-page booklet. Dig In Deep follow-ups her last Grammy winning album, Slipstream, which was released in 2012. So, I’m mighty glad to have this woman back.
Dig In Deep will be issued on standard CD, DD (digital download), and a 2LP issue cut at 45 RPM and pressed on 180-g audiophile-grade black vinyl. The song, “Gypsy In Me” precedes the album’s release (enjoy it below).
Bonnie Raitt will begin a support tour of the album in March with an initial string of 23 dates (more to be added during 2016).
