From 1967 through 1974, the UK band, Ten Years After enjoyed a meteoric rise, especially after an energetic and much-loved appearance at Woodstock, a highly electric appearance that still resonates today. Their output was substantial and memorable with eight studio sets and two live sets, one of which charted worldwide (Recorded Live – 1973). Ten Years After broke up in 1974 but then reassembled in 1988 and released their next album in 1989 (About Time). But nothing will supplant the energy of their original evolution. One of the band’s great albums, Ssssh, was released in 1969 and jumped on the US and UK charts with the cover of Sonny Boy Williamson’s “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl”.
On October 31, Chrysalis and Crash Records will reissue the classic set of Ssssh with a brand new mix developed from the original multi-tapes. This new set will present in 3CD and 2LP packages that will include previously unheard live performance tracks from their radio-broadcast of their 1969 Helsinki, Finland show at Kulttuuritalo Hall. Additionally, the band’s original 1969 mix is included newly remastered. The 3CD package is housed in a hardcover case. the booklet will feature new notes, and never before seen photos from the album’s period.

The 2LP set will provide the new 2025 mix of Ssssh and the radio broadcast of the Helsinki show. It will be beautifully housed in a gatefold jacket. Pre-order here.
