Neil Young, long a favorite of many given his penchant for varied kinds of music that were based in his folk-styled lyrics, has been a favored musician. His first album was his eponymous one issued in 1968. However, his next (Everyone Knows This Is Nowhere – 1969) gained traction with US and UK fans culminating in a Platinum million-seller. By the arrival of On the Beach in 1974, Neil Young had reach worldwide success by the time Harvest ran its course (and it’s still running!). On the Beach showed a different Neil Young that isolated some fans but Neil took it in stride and continued on his chosen pathways.
On December 13, Reprise Records will reissue a 50th Anniversary vinyl set of On The Beach in a Limited Edition clear vinyl LP press. The set will be intended for purists who wish to upgrade their vinyl library with a special cover and collector’s color vinyl. The number 50 is added to the cover.
This 50th Anniversary Edition will be reissued on LP and DD.
