Although for many, Kiki Dee has been around for a few years, it was her duet with Elton John (“Don’t Go Breakin’ My Heart”) that brought her to full attention of fans. She released four studio albums on Elton John’s Rocket Records (MCA/Universal). Two were released separated by a year (1973, 1974); the other two arrived in 1977 and 1978. (Rocket also released two ‘best of’ collections in the early ’90s.)
On June 30, Edsel Records UK will celebrate 50 years of I Got The Music In Me, the 1974 Rocket press by The Kiki Dee Band, with a 2CD gatefold package with a second CD of B-sides and remixes. An 8-page booklet accompanies the set filled with photos, lyrics, and notes.
This title will also be reissued on 180g-weight black vinyl with a single LP that doesn’t include the bonus tracks. A 4-page insert is packed within.
