Rise Records will release a collection 3CD, 5LP set from the label that covers Rise Records’s 22 years. The sets, each called Rise 200, the label’s 200th release, are scheduled for July 30 and will contain 50 songs overall.
Hardly Art Records will release Street Punk from Hunx And His Punx in both CD and LP formats, both on July 23.
Rhino Records will reissue several Black Sabbath titles as 180g vinyl LP releases. On July 2, watch for Technical Ecstasy, Never Say Die, and We Sold Our Souls For Rock ‘N’ Roll (2LP).
Rhino Records will also reissue Fear of Music by Talking Heads on 180g vinyl LP, planned for July 2.
Capitol Records will digitally release (DD) three volumes of Jackie DeShannon singles on June 18. The titles are chronological and are: The Complete Singles,Volume One (1960-1963), The Complete Singles, Volume Two (1964-1967), and The Complete Singles, Volume Three (1967-1970).
Law Records will release Pepper from Pepper on July 16 on CD.
Virgin Records plan the release of the next White Lies album, Big TV, for August 20. There are expected to be several CD versions, as well as a probable LP issue.
On July 23, Warner Records plan the release of A Life By Design? from Fight Or Flight.
Real Gone Music expands on their Grateful Dead Dick’s Picks series titles with one slated for July 2. That one will be Dick’s Picks Volume 22 – King’s Beach Bowl, King’s Beach Lake – Tahoe, CA 02/22-24/1968.
First National Imp Records will release More Light from Primal Scream in both CD and LP, both on June 18.
A 2CD Edition of Made In Britain by Whitesnake is expected on July 9.
Late Night Tales (UK) have the new Röyksopp album, Late Night Tales, on the slate for issue on June 25 on both CD and LP.
Discipline US will reissue Red by King Crimson on vinyl LP, planned for June 18.
Rock Ridge Music plan the release of One from Sarah Miles, scheduled for July 16.
Ghostly International will release a new Gold Panda album, Half Of Where You Live, on July 16.
RCA/Legacy plan the release of The Best of Merry Clayton on June 25.
Anti Records have One True Vine coming by Mavis Staples, scheduled for LP and CD on June 25.
Beggars Banquet Records have a cool reissue of The Cult album, Electric, on the calendar for issue on July 16. The new album will be called Electric Peace and is a 2CD set completing the Electric and Peace sessions (more here).
Hollywood Records will release an ICON title featuring the music of Stryper on July 16.
Bridges To Babylon, the 1997 Rolling Stones album, has been added to the HD DD schedule that includes Emotional Rescue, and Exile On Main Street, all available on June 11.
Mercury Nashville will release Bakersfield by Vince Gill on July 30.
A remastered and reissued An Evening With Diana Ross in replica LP CD packaging currently championed by Culture Factory is on the calendar for June 18. Also, planned is Supremes A Go-Go, same date.
Culture Factory USA will also release a remastered, Deluxe packaging in the LP replica format of Barking At Airplanes by Kim Carnes, scheduled for August 13.
And finally, Mobile Fidelity will reissue Blood On the Tracks, the classic album from Bob Dylan, on vinyl LP. This is scheduled for August 6.
Looking forward the Cult reissue. I’ve got the “Manor Sessions” ep and “Peace Album” bootleg and I have to say I prefer those versions of the songs to the Rick Rubin produced versions on “Electric”. It sounded like Rick Rubin was trying to turn the Cult into AC/DC and while the result was OK “Electric” was not as good as “Love”.
I love Electric, but I agree with you, Coleman, Love is worlds better. And I’m not a fan of Rubin. He changes artists, sometimes more than they need.
My dad joined a cult. We haven’t seen him since December.
