Foreigner enjoyed success right out of the gate with the release of their 1977 Atlantic Records debut. The singles, “Cold As Ice”, “Feels Like The First Time”. and ” Long, Long Way From Home” ensured that the band would gain notice. That debut set went on to sell well over 7 million copies world wide. But it was the US that really accepted this UK band with wide open arms. Their follow up (Double Vision – 1978) went on to greater heights selling well over 7 million copies, and producing memorable singles like “Hot Blooded”, and “Double Vision”. But the fans were still not done with the band even in the times of changing music. The third set, Head Games (1979), and their next three during their peak years would continue to keep Foreigner front and center in the charts and concert draws.
On October 30, Rhino Records will celebrate Head Games with a new 2026 remix and fill the 3CDs with the original album remixed, a collection of outtakes, rough mixes, and alternative versions, and a live set from the 1979 Head Games Tour at Rochester Community War Memorial in Rochester, NY on October 27,1979. An included Blu-ray Audio will finish the job with a new 2026 Atmos mix, and a high resolution Stereo remix. An LP is on the calendar as well with the new 2026 remix.
This new 2026 Head Games Remixed will be released on 3CD/BD, DD, and 1LP Black vinyl.
