Heralding from the north of Ireland, Stiff Little Fingers entered the wilds of the late ’70 with a turbulent punk flash before refining to a studied ska form. their first album, 1979’s Rough Trade-issued Inflammable Material helped solidify Punk as a valid movement. By the time they signed with Chrysalis Records’ 1980-issued Nobody’s Heroes, the band was established even as it headed into a new direction musically. By 1982, the band released their last album with the peak era music band. That final release was Now Then….
On September 18, Rhino will help Stiff Little Fingers celebrate the grandness of Nobody’s Heroes with a brand new remaster of the album, and a collection of bonus tracks including a previously unreleased live set at the Pop Met in Rotterdam in April of 1980. All of this will be welcomed with the arrival of a 3CD/DV Box that will encapsulate the period of Nobody’s Heroes. The extras will feature 12 BBC Sessions tracks on the second CD, while the Pop Met show will feature on the 3rd CD. The included DVD will provide 5 live television appearances that include Top Of The Pops, Something Else, and Dutch programming on At the Edge.
This 2026 reissue box of Nobody’s Heroes will be offered in the previously mentioned 3CD/DVD Box, DD, 2CD (with original album remastered, bonus tracks, and selected BBC offerings), and 2LP with the same as the 2CD package. A booklet is packed in with new photos, notes, and memorabilia.
