Queen gave the world quite a collection of albums and innovative music that tested the boundaries of what Rock could do. With four talents within the band, they released a string of sets that are extraordinary by almost any standards. their first album issued in 1973 was followed by II, issued not quite a year later. With an enviable collection of 15 studio sets, one a soundtrack, Queen gave as much of themselves as they could have.
On March 27, Queen will celebrate Queen II with a boxed set that will include the original album remastered and remixed. This celebratory reissue will also add in a collection of bonus tracks that will include a previously unreleased album with each song recorded in a different way and presented as outtakes. The third CD will offer sessions tracks, while the fourth follows with BBC sessions, and the fifth presents a collection of live performance tracks.
The box will pack in a 112-page book that presents photos and more. Of course, this reissue will be offered in a variety of accessible formats.
Queen II will be provided in the previously mentioned 5CD/2LP (180g-weight black vinyl) Box, 2CD (with original album remixed, and Sessions), Cassette (with remix – online exclusive), DD, 1LP, and Picture Disc LP.
