Seals & Crofts were the ’70ss soft rock champs with a string of hits that included “Diamond Girl”, “Summer Breeze”, “Hummingbird”, and my personal favorite, “We’ve May Never Pass This Way Again”. I enjoyed the depth of the lyrics and their intrinsic thoughts of living for the now. Their song craft was top notch. Even when “Summer Breeze” was remixed in 2004 (for a commercial, then as a revitalized hit), it held the same power and joy. Seals & Crofts ended their first round in 1981 after 13 studio sets (including the soundtrack), along with a strong selling ‘best of’ in 1975.

Acoustic Sounds will be reissuing two classic Seals & Crofts sets (Summer Breeze – 1972, Diamond Girl – 1973) on SACD (Hybrid), and 180g-weight 45RPM 2LP packages in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Acoustic Sounds. We’ll be looking forward to that!

Also planned for the upcoming series is the Foghat debut. Issued in 1972, opened the door for the band to excel beyond Savoy Brown. This first album will be made available as a Hybrid SACD as well as a 45RPM-cut, 180g-weight vinyl 2LP package.

There are no release dates as of yet. You can preorder at the provided links. (There are others included within the scope of this Acoustic Sounds 40 Series. Check them out!)
