Morrissey started with the short-lived but memorable band, The Smiths. Their professional career ran from 1984 through 1987 and delivered only four highly rated UK sets (The Smiths – 1984, Meat Is Murder – 1985, The Queen Is Dead – 1986, Strangeways, Here We Come – 1987. The last two were popular in the US markets as well.). After the dissolution of The Smiths, Morrissey went the solo route and delivered 13 solo albums, with the first being Viva Hate (1988). It situated him as the continuation of the band that their audience missed.
On March 6, Morrissey returns with a new set – Make-Up Is A Lie. This new album will feature 12 new songs from the iconic singer. The title track from the upcoming album is currently available and can be heard below. The new album will be released on Sire Records.
Make-Up Is A Lie will be offered on CD, DD, and three color versions including a black vinyl zoetrope LP. The other two colors will be one on blue vinyl, and an exclusive HMV offering on red vinyl.
