NRBQ formed in the late ’60s as a new band offering R&B in their style. (NRBQ stood for New Rhythm and Blues Quartet.) They enjoyed moderate success signing first with Columbia Records. their unique live shows set them apart and helped to to release more than 20 studio sets in the course of their varied lineup career. Their last three albums were released via Omnivore Records. In 1983, NRBQ released their 9th studio set on Bearsville Records in 1983 – Grooves In Orbit.

On February 6, Omnivore Records will revisit the classic set, Grooves In Orbit. For this newly remastered reissue, this set will provide the original album along with 7 bonus tracks, some that were previously unreleased. This set’s included booklet will provide new notes and better insight into the band and this album. The CD will be reissued in a 6-panel digipak.

Grooves In Orbit will be offered on CD and DD.
