As the late ’70s began to morph in the ’80s, a key figure in the transition from Post-Punk to a mainstream New Wave was Gary Numan. His first album release came in 1978 but it wouldn’t be for a few more years before his “Cars” broke him into a wider audience. From there, his next few (from The Pleasure Principle – 1979) would prove his worth to music fans from the period. These influential releases include Telekon from 1980. It is that album’s 45th Anniversary as of 2025.

On January 30, Gary Numan and Beggar’s Banquet will celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Telekon with an edition that will add in 4 previously unreleased bonus tracks, of which are early versions of familiar tracks, and one an unfinished track. This new reissue features new remastering. It will also pack in a 12-page booklet.

This 45th Expanded/Remastered edition of Telekon will be offered on CD and DD.
