Power Station was formed as a side band that was looking to fill up creative energies during a Duran Duran slowdown. With Robert Palmer, John and Andy Taylor (Duran Duran), and Tony Thompson (Chic), the band enjoyed a surge in popularity with the release of their first album (The Power Station – 1985), and two hit singles, “Some Like It Hot”, and “Get It On”. The Power Station essentially only made noise with their first album (their second was recorded and issued over ten years later).
On January 23, The Power Station will release several sets to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the original album. One set will provide 4CDs with the original album with a new 2025 remaster, a collection of bonus tracks, and 2CDs of live performance tracks. There is also a 2LP package to add to the excitement for vinyl collectors. The 2LPs are pressed on 140g-weight black vinyl. The tracks include the original album and a collection of singles remixes as well as the Live Aid performance tracks.

A 12-page booklet will pack in the 4CD Box.
