It’s rare for ‘best of’ sets to get remasters (ok…not THAT rare). But here we have the original classic collection of The Band released by Capitol in 1976 getting an audio makeover. The album featured eleven great The Band songs pulled from six sets alongside a 1975 single (“Twilight”).
On December 12, Capitol Records will reissue The Best Of The Band in a newly remastered version to celebrate the album’s 50th Anniversary. This set will be bare bones with no adds but that’s ok. The CD itself has been largely unavailable and with this new reissued remaster will become available widely again.
