The Paper Kites arrive from Australia as a folk/rock band. They’ve delivered many a hit (over 20) for the Australian but first gaining success via two well-received self-released EPs. “Bloom”, a non-album single pushed the band into envious territory and sold a million copies in the US. They’ve successfully toured the world several times and can still put out a potent single. (My first listen of them came via my granddaughter, who knowing my likes in music, even at 5, pointed me to a video she watched on YouTube – “Young”. “Young is a compelling song with a thought about growing children into adults, listen below.) From their beginnings in 2010, their first album issue in 2013, until today, The Paper Kites remain a vibrant band with things to say and sing.

On January 23, The Paper Kites will release their newest album (their 7th). The new album is being called If You Go There, I Hope You Find It. The new album will contain 10 new songs, two of which are in current release as fore-running singles. You can hear the charming “When The Lavender Blooms” below. I DO encourage explorations of their past music as I’m betting that you’ll like them a lot. There’s “St. Clarity”, “Tenenbaum”, “A Maker Of My Time”, and “Too Late”. Have at it!

If You Go There, I Hope You Find It will be released on CD, DD, and LP including a version with Rust color. They will also have a spread of bundles that will bring together music and merch. Start here. They issue on Wonderlick Entertainment in Australia, and Nettwerk Records in the US and elsewhere.
