The band, Status Quo, joined the Rock revolution in the early ’60s, a nucleus of the group they’d become by 1969. By 1972, they were a charting band in Europe. Released in 1972 as the band’s 5th album, Piledriver alerted the world to a strong Rock group that would hit chart gong for a number of years and albums. By 1975, the issue of On The Level took them to even greater European heights. However, the US never really jumped on the bandwagon that should should have much earlier. Status Quo released a studio set in 2018, but with Frank Rossi (an original member), they still perform.

On October 17 (today), Status Quo – via Edsel Records (Demon Music Group UK) will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of On The Level with a reissue that spills over into 2CDs-worth of music. On the second CD, a collection of live performance tracks from 1975 as Live In Mainz, Germany 1975 and including a few others.

On the Level will reissue on 2CDs as well as Downloads media.
