The Eagles have made a lot of records with a lot of people. One of those “people” is the mastermind behind the usually unmentioned instrumental majesty of “Journey Of the Sorcerer” found on the One Of These Nights (1975) – Bernie Leadon. It would be the last Eagles album that Bernie Leadon showcases on and some of us would miss that Leadon sound. (Of course, we loved the Joe Walsh add, who would replace Bernie Leadon thereafter.) After some time away, Bernie Leadon returned with the Bernie Leadon-Michael Georgiades Band and an album resulting from that in Natural Progression (1977). Leadon would issue a new solo set with Mirror in 2004. But bridges were burned and we have heard very little of his magic since.

On November 28, Straight Wire Records will release a new Bernie Leadon solo album with Too Late To Be Cool. This new album will feature a collection of 11 new songs. A poignant single is available in “Too Many Memories”., which can be heard below.

Too Late To Be Cool will be released on CD and DD via Straight Wire Records.
