Christopher Cross enjoyed a strong career that culminated in five Grammy Award wins, and more than ten charting singles from a collection of fourteen studio albums. His fast rise to fame came on the release of his debut album, his self-titled 1979 Warner Bros debut that sold well over 8 million copies worldwide. From there, his fame carried his perfect songcraft to many stages including his singular hit single, “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)”, which took home an Academy Award and a Golden Globe award for Best Original Song. He’s left a wonderful trail of songs.
On November 14, Omnivore Recordings will release a 2CD package that will completely collect his singles from the glory years of 1980-1988. In that package will be his US and International A-side singles, along with a handful of collected B-sides (the B-sides will not be on the LP set). This set will be titled All Right: The Worldwide Singles 1980-1981. the included booklet will highlight the set with liner notes and photos. All in all, the 2CD set will offer 31 tracks, while the 2LP package will provide 20 A-side singles.
All Right: The Worldwide Singles 1980-1988 will be issued as 2CD (with 11 extra tracks), DD, and 2LP pressed on a single translucent pink disc, and a single translucent green disc for the other LP.
