There are those of you who will remember Ian Dury, a darling of the Stiff Records label, may remember the album cover of New Boots and Panties!! (1977). On that cover, Ian Dury is standing at a storefront with a child next to him. In case you didn’t know, that child belonged to Ian Dury. It is his son, Baxter Dury. Baxter Dury has had a recording career since 2002. Currently, Baxter Dury has eight albums in release with an announced 9th on the way. His first album drew attention in NME. France is his largest supporter where he has had no problem charting. But he also now has the attention of the UK market where his last release (I Thought I Was Better Than You) charted far better than it did in France, an oddity all its own. His music is similar to his father’s but updated to today’s style, an unmistakable hip-hop style.
On September 12, Baxter Dury plans to release his next album – Allbarone. The new album, with its nine new tracks, will release via Heavenly Records ([PIAS]. For this album, which was announced in May of this year, there are already three singles out. (You can hear the most current – “Schadenfreude” below!)

Allbarone will release on CD, DD (WAV/FLAC/MP3/Streaming), and two versions of vinyl that include industry standard black vinyl LP, and a currently sold out Exclusive, Limited Edition Venetian Marble Blue color vinyl LP. The LP will come with a Limited Edition signed 10×8 print. Pre-order (or Pre-save) here.
