Yes has released an impressive array of music found on what many consider, subjectively speaking for most, classic sets. From their ’60s start, their ’80s resurgence, and their continued efforts to this day, Yes has held the interest of fans for the fullness of their 50+ years as a band. They are often tiered by several classic periods with some praising their Yes Album (1971) through Going For The One (1977). and others for their Drama (1980) through Big Generator (1987) era. From there, it’s sporadic for fans, even for some of the in-betweens like Tormato (1978), and all of the post-Big Generator releases, which includes Fly From Here (2018).
As fans already know, Fly From Here employs the vocals of Benoit David. Eventually, Benoit David was scrubbed from the album with new vocal tracks by Trevor Horn and the album retitled Fly From Here (Return Trip).
On November 28, Spirit Of Unicorn Recordings (Cherry Red UK) will revisit Fly From Here (Return Trip) with a new Atmos mix that will be released on Blu-ray. Additionally, there will be reissues of that version of Fly From Here on CD, 2LP, and DD. Added to those original tracks (with new vocals) will be a collection of instrumental mixes of the first 6 tracks found on the set.
The LPs will be pressed on black vinyl with Side 4 containing the six unreleased instrumental tracks. The BD edition will provide the album in Dolby Atmos, 5.1 Surround, Dolby Atmos for the Instrumental tracks, 5.1 Surround for the instrumental tracks, the original Stereo mixes, and Stereo instrumental tracks.
