UFO were on the charts by 1974 with their Phenomenon album, their first with newcomer, Michael Schenker. Throughout his stay, UFO stayed in heavy rotation with five more popular albums (Force It – 1975, No Heavy Petting – 1976, Lights Out – 1977, Obsession – 1978, and the strong live set – Strangers In The Night – 1979). UFO remained in play for five more albums with a lightening revealing after their seven year hiatus. They returned in 1992 and delivered ten more albums through 2017. Latter albums only had Phil Mogg, and Andy Parker from the early days. Pete Way died in 2022; Paul Raymond in 2019.
On April 19, HNE Recordings (Cherry Red UK) will reach into the UFO catalog and reissue two sets from the reformed UFO with Mogg, Way, and Schenker, packaging studio albums, Covenant (2000), and Sharks (2002), and a September 11, 1995 live show performed at the Blind Melons rock club in Buffalo, NY (now closed) into a single 3CD set.
The set is being labeled Covenant + Sharks, with 32 songs altogether.
