Def Leppard surprised a new audience of Heavy Rock lovers when they released their first album – On Through The Night in 1980. A welcoming stir of sales reached over a million for the band world wide. With the arrival of their third album – Pyromania – in 1983, Def Leppard took the world captive and sold well over 25 million copies worldwide. The album delivered four best-selling singles. It was bested by their fourth – Hysteria, but Pyromania is the album that endeared a ton of fans, old and new.
On April 26, Def Leppard will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Pyromania with a full range of goodies that will include a newly remastered album, a collection of demos and other rarities, two live sets, and new mixes for 5.1 Surround in Atmos, a Stereo Mix, an Instrumental set, and five videos.
The 40th Anniversary of Pyromania will be issued on 2CD, DD, and several editions of vinyl LP that will offer 2LP Standard Black vinyl, 1LP Half-Speed Remastered Standard Black vinyl, a Limited Edition 2LP Blue and Yellow vinyl set, and a stuffed 4CD/BD Box. Pre-order here.
