The Black Keys are mainstays, Dan Auerbach, and Patrick Carney. Together, they have created plenty of appreciable music to satisfy a large fanbase that enjoys their Golden Era-styled songs. Formed just after the turn of the century, they have released eleven albums. Of those, Brothers (2010), and El Camino (2011) have sold into the millions worldwide. Nevertheless, The Black Keys still command respect and still sell high when they release new music. Their last, Dropout Boogie (2022) performed well on the world’s charts.

On April 5, The Black Keys return with a new album of songs, one of which is in release as a forerunner to the album – “Beautiful People (Stay High)”. (The video is overlaid upon a 1959 UK film called Beat Girls [it was issued in the US as Wild For Kicks] and showcased Oliver Reed and Gillian Hills in early roles.) The new video can be heard below. The new album, called Ohio Players is being released on the band’s own Easy Eye Sound (distributed via Nonesuch Records).

Ohio Players will be released on CD, DD, Limited Edition Cassette (CS), and vinyl LP that include black vinyl and a Limited Edition Bleach and Smoke Splatter vinyl. Pre-order here.
