Industrial Metal as a genre became a heavy hitter when Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, and other bands filled the airwaves from the ’80s through the ’90s. While NIN were the big name to listen to, Ministry gave the genre much to enjoy as well, even to this day. Al Jourgensen led the band and produced a hefty 15 studio albums. Most notable were ΚΕΦΑΛΗΞΘ (1992), The Land Of Rape And Honey (1988), The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste (1989), and Filth Pig (1996).
On March 1, Nuclear Blast Records will release the 16th album from Ministry with Hopium For The Masses. Keeping with clever titles, Ministry will release this album with 9 new tracks designed to forge forward in the industrial metal style.
Hopium For The Masses will be released on CD, DD, and limited edition Green/Yellow Splatter vinyl LP [4500 copies] and a band exclusive(?) of 500 copies of Red/White Splatter LP (a limited edition Blue/Pink Splatter LP [500 copies] has sold out). A track from the new album is posted below. Pre-order link is here.
