Kiki Dee has enjoyed several waves of popularity that generated not only her original appearance, but also her time with EJ’s Rocket Label, and an extended time period with Ariola Records and EMI Records. There were others, of course. Overall, she has produced around 40 singles with her most notable one being the duet with Elton John on “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”.
On January 26 of 2024, Edsel Records (Demon Music Group UK) will release a 4CD Box that hangs on the Ariola Records and EMI Records period. The set will not only offer Perfect Timing (1981) on Ariola, and Angel Eyes (1987), which was issued on EMI in the US, and Columbia in the UK, but will also provide an unreleased album that was recorded in 1982 for Ariola Records. The set was to be called Two Sides To Every Story. A 4th CD will gather together the non-album A and B-sides of singles, remixes, demos, and unreleased stuff from the labels during the time period as well as another duet with Elton John with “True Love”.
The set is to be called – in simple fashion – Kiki Dee: The Ariola and EMI Years. The Box will pack in a booklet with notes, interviews, and photos. The tracks are remastered. A signed photo card print of Kiki Dee is included.
