Alphaville joined the throng of New Wave bands in 1984 with the release of their cherished hit, “Forever Young”, a song that still resonates with listeners and fans today. They formed in Germany in 1982. Currently, only original singer, Marian Gold remains, But at the band’s peak, they were creators of storing singles, three of them from their Forever Young 1984 debut. Alphaville has eight albums in release; three from their peak ’80s, two from the ’90s, and three within the new millennium.
On November 17, both of their ’90s albums – Prostitute (1994), and Salvation (1997) will be reissued with expansion and new remastering. Found in these new Deluxe Editions will be the original album remastered, a collection of demos, remixes, and singles among other finds to round out these multi-disc packages. The included booklets will offer lyrics, notes, and photos.
Prostitute will reissue on 2CD, DD, and 2LP black vinyl. Salvation will be reissued on 3CD, DD, and 2LP Black vinyl.
