Little Feat introduced in 1969 and released their first album in 1971. Formed by Lowell George and Bill Payne after Lowell and Roy Estrada left Mothers of Invention, the band eventually rose to fame. Their 1972 release, Sailin’ Shoes help set the stage for the strong success of Dixie Chicken, which arrived almost a full year later. Sailin’ Shoes is the second album from the band,
On June 23, Rhino Entertainment will help Little Feat celebrate the slightly late 50th Anniversary of Sailin’ Shoes with an expanded and 2023 remastered reissue of the early Little Feat set. Added to the 2023 remaster will be a full collection of demos, singles, live performance tracks (from The Palladium in LA on August 28, 1971), and alternate versions of songs, a whopping total of 21 extra tracks.
Sailin’ Shoes will be released on 2CD, DD, and 3LP with booklets for all sets. The label will emulate the olive green WB Records label that was found before the Burbank label.
