Family was a band back in the late ’60s and early ’70s, who released a blizzard of six albums between 1968 and 1973 before calling it quits. But the music that were released were extraordinary blends of style that endeared a devoted fanbase. During its brief time, Roger Chapman, Ric Grech, Jim Cregan, even John Wetton made up a part of the line-ups.
On April 28, Esoteric Recordings (via Cherry Red UK) will reissue the band’s 4th album, Anyway… (1970) in a 2CD set that will include the original album remastered from original masters, 4 bonus tracks, and 12 BBC Radio Sessions from two time points. A booklet with a new essay and a collection of photos and memorabilia will accompany the set.
