For many, Warren Zevon is a hardy end stop for the famed Southern California music style that ran through the Asylum Records/Eagle crowd. Those included Jackson Browne, David Lindley, Linda Ronstadt, CSN, and others, all of which typified that period of time with a country-blended Rock/Folk style. Warren Zevon hit Platinum sales with his 1976 classic set, Excitable Boy. That album is often mentioned and most revered as it housed his most enduring song, “Werewolves of London”.

Soon, SACD and 180g-weight 45RPM 2LP editions of Excitable Boy will be made available for the fans of the album. Produced and issued by Mobile Fidelity, this new release will add to the previously released Audio Fidelity SACD of the same title. I think it worthy to bring to your attention that this is in the works and pre-order links are already available even if no date is supplied.

Watch for further details. In the meantime, to pre-order your copy, go here.
