Loreena McKennitt began her career in 1985. But it wasn’t until her release of The Visit in 1991 that she began to capture the interest of fans worldwide. The Visit charted and sold amazingly well in both the US and Canada. A tragic boating accident that took the life of her fiancée, her brother, and another individual kept her busy for an extended period until she returned to the delight of awaiting fans.

On November 18, Loreena McKennitt will deliver a new live album. To be called Under A Winter’s Moon, she will present an album of 15 seasonal songs performed with Tom Jackson, an Cedric Smith. The tracks will be presented through several discs and will include two readings by both. One of the readings is a six-part story Dylan Thomas original – A Child’s Christmas.

Under A Winter’s Moon will be issued on 2CD and DD. The music was mixed in Dolby Atmos and in Surround Sound acquirable via DD sales. The tour that highlights this set will be restaged beginning December 2 through December 17 in Ontario. All the original components of the show will return for this 8-night tour.
