The Teardrop Explodes was/is an essential commentary that involves the ‘late ’70s/early ’80s for its post-punk offerings. Headed by Julian Cope, the band laid groundwork for two years before splintering and giving Julian Cope the means to do his solo work. For over 30 albums within a span of over 35 years, Julian Cope has well entertained and challenged his die-hard fans. And he’s ready to do it again.
On October 21, Julian Cope will release his next album in England Expectorates. With 13 new Cope tracks, the landscape is once again given the Cope world dressing down. With sensitive titling of songs and his typical approach to music, England Expectorates will give a wallop to fans waiting for the punch.
England Expectorates will be released on CD and DD via Cope‘s own label, Head Heritage.
